Sun Signs

If someone casually asks you, “So what sign are you?” - what they are referring to is your Sun sign, the standard basis for nearly all horoscopes today.

Most people, certainly by the time they reach their teenage years will know of their Sun Sign, and its associated attributes.

In the 20th and 21st centuries, the emphasis has been on Sun Signs because it is an easy aspect of the horoscope to understand.
In the 1930’s, journalists began to write about them, simply to bring the casual reader, and this has led to the standard daily horoscope, available in every newspaper, good or bad, based entirely on the Sun Sign.

Astrology of Sun Signs began when it was observed that those born under the sign of a given constellation seemed to share a significant number of characteristics - over time, these observations have been refined and expanded to give us the many associations that go along with each sign.

Birth charts - other planets

The sun sign is only the tip of the iceberg. All the planets, including some usually considered to be minor planets or even asteroids, combine to make up your own completely unique, astrological horoscope.

But the Sun Sign is always the best place to start when beginning a trip into the understanding of astrology - and therefore also beginning to understand yourself and those around you.
